Whitney Lewis #6 - bio
Whitney Lewis is a highly accomplished soccer coach, mentor, and former professional player dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the field.
As the Girls Director of Coaching at Sporting Iowa from 2018-2024, she played a pivotal role in team management, player development, and most importantly-empowering young players by cultivating character and life skills. Now, as the Director of Partnerships for Sporting Iowa, she helps SPIA align with businesses to ensure every child, regardless of background, can experience the transformative power of soccer to enrich the lives of players, families, and our communities.
Her coaching journey includes roles at Sporting Iowa ECNL, Valley High School, Iowa State University, and Drake University. Prior to coaching, Whitney had an illustrious playing career, competing professionally for AFC Ajax and earning a KNVB National Championship in the Netherlands. She also represented the U.S. Youth National Team from U15-U20, played at UCLA under former USWNT Head Coach Jill Ellis, and won four state championships with Valley High School.
